Connect DoorDash to Fishbowl

The DoorDash integration sends order, guest, and member data to Fishbowl. This is an SFTP integration, not a direct API connection. A DoorDash representative manually generates and uploads the file each week. Fishbowl automatically retrieves and processes the file.

Important: Weekly data depends on the DoorDash representative completing the manual file upload.

1. Confirm Weekly DoorDash File Delivery

Before setting up the integration in Fishbowl, confirm that your DoorDash representative can:

  • Provide the required weekly export for all participating locations.
  • Manually upload the file to the designated Fishbowl SFTP each week.
  • Provide the brand name, DoorDash location name, and DOORDASH_STORE_ID for every participating location.

Important: The DoorDash representative must be able to support the manual weekly export and SFTP upload. If they cannot, the integration cannot be set up.

Email Template

Subject: Request to Enable Weekly DoorDash Data Export to Fishbowl

Hi [DoorDash Representative Name],

We would like to enable our DoorDash data integration with Fishbowl for [Client/Restaurant Group Name].

The integration requires a DoorDash representative to manually generate and upload a DoorDash order, guest, and member data export to a Fishbowl SFTP account each week.

Please confirm that:

  1. You can provide the required weekly export for all participating locations.
  2. You can upload the file to the designated Fishbowl SFTP each week.
  3. You can provide the brand name, DoorDash location name, and DOORDASH_STORE_ID for every participating location so each store can be mapped under the correct brand in Fishbowl.

Once confirmed, Fishbowl will provide the SFTP connection details.

Thank you,
[Client Contact Name]
[Client/Restaurant Group]

2. Create the DoorDash Connection

Create the SFTP connection once at the client level.

  1. Sign in to Fishbowl Connect at the client level.
  2. Go to Integrations → DoorDash.
  3. Navigate to Connection.
  4. Click New Connection.
  5. Enter:
    • Integration Name
    • FTP Username
    • FTP Password
  6. Click Add.

Important: The SFTP connection is client-level. Do not create a separate SFTP connection for each brand.

3. Configure Store Mappings for Each Brand

Once the client-level connection is created, configure the DoorDash locations under each participating brand.

  1. Use the brand selector to select the brand.
  2. Go to Integrations → DoorDash.
  3. Open Setup.
  4. Under Store Configuration, enter the exact DOORDASH_STORE_ID in DoorDash Store Code.
  5. Under Select a Store, select the corresponding Fishbowl location.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Repeat for each location within the brand.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Review the saved mappings to confirm each DoorDash Store Code is paired with the correct Fishbowl Store Name.
  10. Repeat for each participating brand.

Important: Each DoorDash Store ID should map to exactly one Fishbowl location.

Connection: Client level
Store mappings: Brand level

Adding New Locations

Once the integration is live, clients can add or update their own DoorDash store mappings in production.

  1. Select the appropriate brand.
  2. Go to Integrations → DoorDash → Setup.
  3. Enter the DOORDASH_STORE_ID in DoorDash Store Code.
  4. Select the corresponding Fishbowl location.
  5. Click Add and Save.
